FUNDRAISING EVENTS
KART sponsors three virtual
fundraising events every year. All profit will be split equally between
KART and KSRF (www.ksrf.org).
The three events will be the
Sweetheart Ball in February, Prom in June, and Halloween in October.
Sweetheart Ball
The Sweetheart Ball will
have a King and Queen in each of the 4 categories. Contest dates, entry
forms, and rules will be announced in January. Entry forms and fees will be
submitted, along with a picture (amateur only please). There will be four
categories: keeshonden, other canine breeds, felines, and other species.
Each category will have the King and Queen candidates pictured online and
the general public will be able to vote on their favorite in each category
by purchasing tickets. Top ticket winners in each category, by sex, will be
declared the King and Queen of the Sweetheart Ball.
Prom
Don your formal attire, rent
your limo, and buy your flowers – virtually, of course! Contest dates,
entry forms, and rules will be announced in May. This event will only be
open to keeshonden but there will be six categories. The Freshman Class
will consist of keesies up to 1 year old; the Sophomore Class will be open
to kees from 1 – 2 years old; Junior Class will be open to kees from 3 – 5
years old; and Senior Class will be those keesies who are 6 – 8 years old.
The Graduate Class will be all kees 9 years of age and older while the
Alumni Class can be any age keeshond that has gone to the Bridge..
All candidates’ pictures
will be shown online and the general public will be able to purchase tickets
to vote for their favorite. Prom King and Queen will be the top ticket
winners from the Senior Class with all other classes providing Princes and
Princesses. Winners from the Graduate Class will be The Honorable Lord and
Lady. Winners from the Alumni Class will be Honorary King and Queen.
Halloween Costume Party
Four categories will compete
in the Halloween Costume Party – keeshonden, other canines, felines, and
other species. Contest dates, entry forms, and rules will be announced in
September. Dress your pet in costume, take a picture, and submit for online
viewing and voting. Each category will have a winner for cutest, most
original, and funniest.
